Autumn 2009: CITE introduces new rates for Exams Officer qualifications

For the fifth year running, KC Education and Training - CITE's partner organisation - is offering qualifications for examinations officers at all levels and has introduced an exception package for the
2009-2010 season. Whether you are new to the exams officer role, an administrator or an experienced exams office manager, we are able to support you and your professional development with an exams officer qualification tailored to your specific needs.

And with the new Diplomas growing in importance, our team of specialist Diploma tutors will help you through the critical responsibilities associated with collaborative working and the role of exams officer.

The Level 2 Introduction to Administering Examinations qualification is available for the exceptional price of £195 + VAT. This starter qualification includes everything you need to successfully complete the qualification - a workshop day with tutor support and full workbooks.
 

The Level 3 Administering Examinations qualification is available for £550 + VAT. Again, this includes a workshop day with tutor support and full workbooks to ensure successful completion of the course. Candidates successfully completing the Level 2 Introduction to Administering Examinations with KC Education and Training only pay a top-up fee of £345 + VAT – offering two full qualifications for the price of one.
 

The Level 4 Managing Examinations qualification is available for £650 + VAT. This also includes a workshop day with tutor support and full workbooks to ensure successful completion of the course. Candidates successfully completing the Level 3 Administering Examinations with KC Education and Training only pay a top-up fee of £345 + VAT.

Autumn 2009: CITE completes exciting 
Curriculum
development consultancy and
training on behalf of the British Council in Northern Cyprus

Jeremy Curtis, one of CITE's Directors, has worked this year with the MEYAP team and the Ministry of Education in Northern Cyprus on curriculum development consultancy and training on behalf of the British Council. Jeremy and his project team have focused on a total of seven vocational sectors: accounting; finance; electric; electronic; hairdressing; beauty; and IT.

The project has included leading and supporting development of employer engagement, revising occupational standards in IT, and Accounting & Finance for the Year 11 curricula, and revising occupational standards in hairdressing & beauty and electric & electronics to inform Year 10 and 11 curricula.

Teams of teachers from North Cyprus Schools worked on revisions to Year 10 and 11 hairdressing & beauty and electric & electronics  curricula, specifically benchmarking existing modules, rationalizing the modules and writing module standards.

   Working with employers

The project delivered development support and training for the setting up of a new Internal Verification system in secondary level TVET schools.  Teams also carried out extensive research into developing the Work Placement Scheme in IT, Accounting & Finance, Hairdressing & Beauty, and Electric & Electronics for secondary level TVET schools.

 

Summer 2008: CITE's first Management candidate completes

 

CITE’s first Management Studies candidate – Liz Stevens – passed her BTEC Professional Award in Management Studies with flying colours. She collected her certificate from Jeremy Curtis, Director of Cambridge International Training and Education.

Liz currently works as Exams Officer at the Lancaster School in Leicester.

Autumn 2007:
BTEC Level 5 Professional Award in
Management Studies

Cambridge International Training and Education successfully delivered a pilot blended learning programme leading to the BTEC Level 5 Professional Award in Management Studies and membership of the Chartered Institute of Management on behalf of one of its parent companies, KC Education and Training. Led by a team of education specialists, delegates spent four days on a residential course in London working towards Module 1: Managing Change, as well as introductory workshops on Module 2: Personal Development and Module 3: Leadership.

As a result of the course, our delegates have been able to plan the management of change in their organisations, supported by a personal development plan and new leadership skills.

Middle and senior managers now have the opportunity to develop their own skills as well as gaining a valued qualification – meeting their own Continuous Professional Development needs and benefiting your organisation with the ability to tackle change effectively and efficiently.

Autumn 2007:
Integrated suite of support qualifications for schools

Cambridge International Training and Education are delighted to announce the introduction of a fully integrated suite of support qualifications for schools. The qualifications are offered in conjunction with KC Education and Training, our partner organisation, as part of our commitment to your continuing professional development.

Summer 2007:
Mentoring in the Workplace

Cambridge International Training and Education has just completed delivering the BTEC Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Mentoring in the Workplace for the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in the Middle East.

This highly successful course, specially tailored to the oil industries, was delivered to 17 candidates under the watchful eye of its two consultants Kevin Corrigan and
Howard Parker.

The course focuses on three key elements:

  •   supporting learners by mentoring in the workplace

  •   supporting and advising individual learners

  •   monitoring and reviewing progress with learners



Feedback from the candidates has been extremely positive:
