14-19 DiplomasCITE is delighted to offer specialist support for those partnerships planning to offer the new 14-19 Diplomas. The new Diplomas are exciting 14-19 qualifications that will bring an innovative approach to learning and enable learners to gain knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience of sectors that they are interested in, while putting new skills into practice.
14-19 Diploma one-day courses: Diplomas - an introduction Despite the efforts of the organisations driving these new qualifications, the 14-19 Diplomas are still a mystery to many. This one-day course begins with an overview of the 14-19 Diplomas, covering the following issues:
Workshop activities enable delegates to develop their knowledge and understanding of a wide range of Diploma issues, from senior management and partnership issues through to teaching and assessment. Click on the link below for further details.
14-19 Diploma one-day courses: collaborative partnerships with training providers Rather than acting independently, schools, colleges, training providers and others are expected to deliver these Diplomas as part of a collaborative partnership. CITE currently have two one-day courses on offer to support evolving partnerships. One course aims to enable collaborative partnerships to widen the scope of their partnership by engaging with training providers and to define the ways in which training providers can contribute to collaborative partnerships as an effective partner. The other - a mirror image of the first - aims to equip training providers with the knowledge and skills they need to define the ways in which they can contribute to collaborative partnerships as an effective partner. 14-19 Diploma one-day courses: Working with Employers Experiencing the world of work is critically important for learners. It provides opportunities for learners to demonstrate they are familiar with the world of work, to develop practical performance, or for learning in a work-based environment as part of a work placement to be duly recognised. Employers can support centres by hosting visits to industry, providing resources materials, or contributing to the assessment process. This course enables centres to develop strategies for developing good relationships with employers who have shown their willingness to contribute to delivery by supporting the Diploma Gateway process. 14-19 Diploma one-day courses: The Gateway Experience: The way forward for Diploma Category 4 partnership consortia Diploma Gateway results can bring disappointment for some partnership consortia. Some may be unsuccessful in their effort to secure a Gateway recommendation to go through for delivery. This course offers these consortia the opportunity to share their experience with others in the same position and to focus their efforts in order to secure a successful application to a subsequent Gateway.
